1.5 million NHS workers receive 3.3 percent wage increase
Governments in England and Wales approved a 3.3 per cent salary increase for roughly 1.5 million health employees starting in April. This deal excludes doctors and dentists but applies to roles ranging from porters to midwives. Union leaders criticised the offer as an insult because it falls below the current inflation rate of 3.4 per cent. Ministers argued the boost exceeds a 2 per cent forecast for future price rises.
