National Living Wage Rises to £12.71 an Hour

Millions of workers in retail, hospitality and care got a pay bump from 1 April. The rate for over-21s went up 4.1% to £12.71, while 18-to-20-year-olds saw the biggest jump at 8.5%, taking their hourly rate to £10.85. Full-time workers on the lowest pay could see around £900 more a year before tax and deductions.
