Canada threatens to cut US electricity over Trump’s tariffs

Ontario's Premier Doug Ford said on Monday that cutting electricity exports to the US is "on the table" if the trade dispute worsens. President Donald Trump threatened to impose 50% tariffs on Canadian cars and parts from 1 January. Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney had already walked away from trade talks on Friday, citing excessive US demands.
