Nuclear Talks Collapse as US-Iran Geneva Negotiations End Without Deal Days Before Strikes
Just two days before the strikes, the US and Iran concluded their third round of indirect nuclear negotiations in Geneva without reaching a deal. Iran's Foreign Minister Araghchi called them the "most intense" talks yet, while both sides acknowledged some progress. The US demanded Iran destroy its nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan and surrender all enriched uranium permanently. Iran rejected these as "excessive demands." Technical talks were planned for Vienna.
