Lagos court sets date for toddler death inquest
A Lagos magistrate has scheduled the formal inquiry into the death of Adichie’s 21-month-old child for 14 April. The author claims Euracare hospital staff administered excessive sedation and withheld oxygen, allegedly causing cardiac arrest. Although the clinic denies negligence, the judge ordered all parties to submit witness statements immediately. The toddler died in January after undergoing medical procedures required for transfer to America.
