'Nearly 28 million dollars': UK offers emergency aid to displaced Lebanese
The UK has offered Lebanon nearly $28 million in humanitarian assistance to support hundreds of thousands of Lebanese people displaced by the conflict with Israel, the Lebanese presidency said. The announcement came as a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah took effect on Thursday evening. The Lebanese health ministry says the war has killed more than 2,100 people since March.
