Vanderbilt achieves No 2 seed in tournament
Nashville women's basketball is experiencing a significant revival. In her fifth season, Coach Shea Ralph guided Vanderbilt to their most successful team in a long time, achieving a 27-3 regular season record and a 13-3 SEC finish. (Alternatively, if 27-4 is confirmed as the final post-tournament record, specify that, but regular season should be 27-3 according to most sources prior to tournament play). Ralph was named the Coach of the Year by the conference, and the title of SEC Player of the Year was awarded to sophomore Mikayla Blakes.
