Teacher banned after religious comment to student in London
Following complaints from three pupils, a London primary teacher faced dismissal after commenting on Britain's religious status to a Muslim student. The incident occurred when pupils were washing feet in the boys' toilets, apparently for prayer. Authorities suspended the teacher and involved police and child protection. Nine officials, including detectives, reviewed the case. Hate crime charges were dropped.
