Two Conservative MPs have criticised approval of Green Hill Solar Farm, one of Britain's largest solar projects, spanning about 2,965 acres near Wellingborough, Northampton and Buckinghamshire. Stuart Andrew and Sarah Bool warn it will surround villages and take farmland. Island Green Power says it could generate about 500 megawatts for 200,000 homes, with construction from 2027 and power from 2029. Campaigners called the decision devastating.
