Most Britons think the country is heading the wrong way

New polling shows four-fifths of Britons believe the UK is going in the wrong direction, with only half satisfied with living standards. Andy Burnham begins his premiership facing a public increasingly pessimistic and cynical about politics. A majority of people think the government isn't doing enough to protect nature and tackle the climate crisis.
