Mortgage Deals Vanishing at Fastest Rate on Record

Mortgage deals are disappearing faster than ever, with the average deal lasting just 13 days before lenders pulled it this month, Moneyfacts data shows. Across 2026 the average is 16 days, on track to be the shortest on record, as the Iran war unsettles markets. Five-year fixed rates now average 5.99%. About half a million people still need a new fix before the year ends.
