Morrisons adding AI self-checkouts to 200 stores to cut queues

Morrisons is introducing AI-powered self-checkouts at 200 of its stores, becoming the first UK supermarket to roll out this technology widely. The new Evercheck system uses computer vision to compare scanned items with what's in a shopper's basket. If an item is missed, a prompt asks the customer to correct it, aiming for shorter wait times.
