Microsoft putting $10 billion into Japan for AI
The investment will run from 2026 to 2029, covering AI infrastructure, cybersecurity partnerships and workforce training across Japan. Microsoft President Brad Smith announced the commitment during a Tokyo meeting with Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. The company also pledged to train more than one million engineers, developers and workers across Japan's most strategically important industries by 2030.
