Microsoft: AI adoption hits 16.3% globally in 2025
Microsoft's AI Diffusion Report reveals that 16.3 percent of the global population used generative AI tools in the second half of 2025, up from 15.1 percent in the first half. The report shows a widening digital divide, with adoption in the Global North reaching 24.7 percent compared to just 14.1 percent in the Global South. The United Arab Emirates leads globally with 64 percent adoption, followed by Singapore at 60.9 percent. South Korea emerged as the standout performer, climbing seven positions to 18th place.
