Meta pays £58,000 bounty for customer support data flaw
A security researcher found a critical vulnerability in Meta's systems that exposed customer support data, including emails and personal information. Rony K Roy reported the flaw in January 2026, and Meta rolled out patches in April, finding no evidence of malicious use. The company paid Roy a $78,000 (£58,000) bug bounty for his discovery.
