Meta has banned ads from TikTok parent ByteDance across its US apps and several other countries. The ban, in force from Thursday, also blocks third-party ads that link to TikTok. The rules also cover Canada, Egypt, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam amid intensifying rivalry between the major social media platforms today.
