Met seeks charges against 74 over Grenfell Tower fire
The Metropolitan Police has submitted its final Grenfell Tower investigation file to the Crown Prosecution Service, seeking charges against 54 individuals and 20 companies. Possible offences include corporate and gross negligence manslaughter, health and safety breaches, fraud and misconduct in public office. The 2017 fire killed 72 people; the CPS aims to decide charges before the tenth anniversary in June 2027.
