Zelensky wants face-to-face talks with Putin

Ukraine's president has written a public letter asking to meet Putin in person to try and end the war. Zelensky has communicated with Putin via letter for the first occasion since Russia's invasion in 2022, and he is proposing an unbiased country such as Switzerland or Turkey to serve as the venue for negotiations. Trump says both sides need to make compromises, while Putin claims Russia is open to a deal based on his previous summit with Trump in Alaska.
