Quiz books sales rose nearly a quarter in 2025
People bought fewer non-fiction books in 2025, leading to the lowest spending levels since 2014. NielsenIQ BookData found non-fiction spending fell by 5% to £791m, while total print sales reached £1.81bn. Meanwhile, Bibles saw a 19% rise in sales, and Julia Donaldson sold 3.3 million copies as the UK’s top author.
