Mbappe wins second Golden Boot, breaks all-time World Cup scoring record

Kylian Mbappe secured the World Cup Golden Boot for a second time, a first for any player, after netting 10 goals in the 2026 tournament. The France forward additionally overtook Lionel Messi's record, establishing himself as the men's World Cup's highest-ever scorer with 22 goals. Messi finished the tournament with eight goals after failing to score in Argentina's 1-0 final loss to Spain on Sunday.
