A man attempting to extend a goodbye at Singapore’s airport found himself detained after purchasing a plane ticket he never intended to use. Authorities said he entered the restricted departure zone under the pretense of travel, despite having no plans to board a flight. Security officials treat such actions seriously, as access to transit areas is tightly regulated. The episode underscores how even seemingly minor rule-bending at major international airports can swiftly result in legal consequences.
