Man jailed 15 years over Taylor Swift concert plot

A 21-year-old Austrian man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for plotting an Islamist terror attack targeting a Taylor Swift concert in Vienna. Beran A. was convicted on terrorism charges after attempting to obtain weapons and explosive materials ahead of the August 2024 shows. Authorities said intelligence shared by the CIA helped uncover the plan, leading to the cancellation of three concerts expected to draw around 200,000 fans.
