Oscar-nominated filmmaker Maggie Gyllenhaal revealed she tried using AI for her new 22-minute short film, Flesh Impact, which explores Marilyn Monroe. She attempted to place Monroe's likeness over actress Dakota Johnson, but found the human performance much more moving and alive. Gyllenhaal, 48, scrapped the AI experiment, saying it was "anathema" to what she wanted for the project.
