Labour Loses Exeter Council After 14 Years in Charge

Exeter residents will be governed by a hung council for the first time in 14 years after Labour dropped below the majority threshold. The party lost five of the 14 contested seats, taking its total down to 18, two below the majority mark. The Green Party became the second largest group, gaining three seats to reach ten.
