US gives Kenya Sh1.9bn for Ebola preparedness and detection
America announced Sh1.9 billion in funding on Thursday to help Kenya prepare for potential Ebola outbreaks. The funding aims to boost Kenya's ability to prevent, detect, and respond to the disease, despite a previous High Court order halting a quarantine facility. The US Embassy stated that the assistance would enhance public health infrastructure and regional readiness for disease, particularly across 22 high-risk counties.
