Worcester taxi fares rising after council agrees rates
Your taxi ride in Worcester is about to get more expensive, despite fears it could hurt demand for cabs. Worcester City Council agreed new rates for Hackney carriages, which you can hail, after the city's Taxi Association cited rising running costs. Standard initial fares rise from £4.30 to £5; night and Sunday rates go from £5.50 to £6.40.
