Katie Boulter's loss ends British French Open hopes
British fans will not see any home players left in the French Open singles after Katie Boulter’s defeat ended the nation’s run. Francesca Jones had earlier exited the tournament following her loss to Czech 27th seed Marie Bouzkova on Wednesday, leaving Boulter as the last Brit standing before she was also knocked out. Jones, ranked just outside the world’s top 70, saw her impressive breakthrough campaign come to an end.
