Jailed UK couple lose Iran appeal, still on hunger strike
The 10-year prison term given to a UK couple accused of espionage in Iran has been upheld following their unsuccessful appeal, causing distress to their relatives. Having been taken into custody in Jan 2025 while on a motorcycle journey, Lindsay and Craig Foreman were convicted the following month, though they maintain their innocence against all accusations. Currently confined to Evin prison in Tehran, the couple is refusing food and was barred from attending their appeal proceedings.
