Lotus keeps Norfolk factory open for sales
The luxury carmaker will continue making petrol sports cars in Britain to serve American customers. Lotus extended production of its £80,000 Emira model at the Norfolk plant after Chinese owner Geely previously considered closure. The factory employs 900 people but only builds 2,000 cars yearly despite having capacity for 10,000.
