London teachers close schools over funding cuts

Parents face weeks of school closures as childcare arrangements collapse. Teachers across Waltham Forest walked out over job cuts and reduced support for special needs pupils. Thirteen schools in Waltham Forest are reported to have voted for strikes this academic year, according to NEU figures.
