Hundreds of Peruvian football supporters have chosen the name of Norway's star striker, Erling Haaland, for their newborn children. According to Peru's national identity registry, 468 babies bear his surname, and another 91 carry his full name. Haaland's popularity follows his performance during the 2026 World Cup, where he scored seven goals in four appearances.
