London Park Sees First Pelican Chicks in 360 Years

Visitors can now see a rare breeding success at a central London royal park after young birds survived their first month. Staff at St James’s Park said four pelican chicks emerged after eggs hatched from 17 May, the first known births there since the birds were introduced in 1664. Five eggs were laid across three nests, with adult birds including Star and Gargi caring for them.
