Liverpool police HQ site sold for £17m.

New housing, a hotel, retail, and leisure facilities are slated for a new waterfront development in central Liverpool. Homes England, a government agency, recently purchased the former Merseyside Police headquarters, Canning Place, for £17m. Having served as a police base for over 40 years, the 2.64-acre site's sale will finance the modernisation of various police structures.
