James Murray is new health secretary

Cutting NHS waiting times and creating more evening and weekend appointments are priorities for the new Health Secretary. James Murray was appointed by Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday, replacing Wes Streeting. Murray, elected Ealing North MP in 2019, was previously Chief Secretary to the Treasury and a Deputy Mayor of London.
