Learner drivers in Britain are still waiting about 20 weeks on average to book a practical driving test. The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) reported this is only a minor improvement from the 20.2-week average recorded in July. The DVSA conducted over 2.13 million practical tests in the year to August 2026.
