UK Pledges Cyprus Bases Won't Aid Iran Attacks
People in Cyprus can expect greater security, as Britain has pledged its bases won't be used for offensive military operations in the Iran crisis. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer told Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides this on March 21, following a phone discussion. Britain also decided to enhance preventive measures after a Shahed drone caused slight damage at Akrotiri airbase on March 2.
