UK plans rules to put BBC, ITV in your social feed
People using social media could see more trusted British news sources appear in their feeds under proposals aimed at tackling false information online. Ministers are preparing a consultation on measures that would make services including YouTube and Meta give greater visibility to outlets such as the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. A Demos report backed extending existing prominence rules to social platforms.
