Light aircraft hits Beijing’s tallest skyscraper

A light aircraft crashed into the CITIC Tower, Beijing’s tallest building, on Friday, breaking apart on impact and sending debris into the streets below. Videos shared on social media showed a hole in the side of the 109-storey skyscraper, also known as China Zun, with at least two windows shattered and the building evacuated. Authorities are at the scene and the cause is not yet known, with no confirmed casualty figures so far.
