Iran’s new Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei said in his first televised statement that the Strait of Hormuz should remain closed as pressure against the United States and Israel. He warned that attacks on American military bases could continue while stressing that Iran has no conflict with neighbouring countries despite the escalating regional tensions.
