UK doubles Norway troops to 2,000 amid 30 percent Russian threat surge
Defence Secretary John Healey announces the UK will double its military presence in Norway to 2,000 troops to counter Moscow's aggression. Under the new Lunna House Agreement, a joint fleet of 13 warships will hunt submarines following a 30 percent surge in Russian threats to critical undersea infrastructure. Additionally, 1,500 Royal Marines will deploy for Exercise Cold Response in March as Healey warns Russia is reopening Cold War bases in the High North.
