The Kremlin on Monday turned down Volodymyr Zelensky's proposal for a 60-day full ceasefire that would let Ukraine hold presidential elections. Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow wanted a lasting peace deal, not a temporary pause. The rejection came as Kyiv accused Russia of hitting power plants and gas sites despite an energy ceasefire announced by Donald Trump on Sunday, leaving parts of Ukraine facing blackouts.
