Netanyahu says he wants to end US aid
It's a striking stance from a leader whose country is the biggest recipient of US aid, though he wants a gradual phase-out. In an Israeli TV interview, Netanyahu called the $3.8bn in annual US military aid 'welfare' Israel no longer needs. He proposed drawing it down to zero over a decade, an idea he has floated before as ties with Washington fray over Iran.
