Wayve raises $1.5bn to launch Uber robotaxis in London
UK autonomous driving company Wayve has secured $1.2 billion in a Series D round, with total funding reaching $1.5 billion including an additional milestone-based $300 million from Uber. The companies plan to launch their first robotaxi service in London in 2026, with Uber owning and operating the fleet. The funding values Wayve at $8.6 billion. Plans include scaling to more than 10 markets globally.
