US says forces ready to restart Iran combat
Renewed fighting could raise risks for civilians and disrupt key energy supplies. The United States said its forces are prepared to resume combat if Iran does not agree to a deal, while a naval blockade targets ships using Iranian ports. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth warned strikes could hit infrastructure, power and energy sites if Iran “chooses poorly”.
