King Charles's US speech was a big triumph

Public opinion on King Charles's recent US state visit has significantly improved, showing a big turnaround from earlier scepticism. A senior royal aide stated the King's speech to US Congress, urging defence of Ukraine and Nato support, was a "high stakes" diplomatic challenge. Lawmakers gave him 12 standing ovations, and a poll found 74% of the UK public approved his performance.
