Theatregoers were delighted by King Charles's unexpected visit to a sold-out performance in Stratford-upon-Avon. He was present for a showing of *The Tempest* by William Shakespeare at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, taking a place among members of the general public. Spectators applauded his entry, and he was greeted by Daniel Evans and Tamara Harvey, who hold the titles of co-artistic directors for the RSC, before finding a seat near the rear.
