London Mayor Sadiq Khan has responded to claims from Donald Trump and Nigel Farage that London is a lawless “warzone,” citing recent data showing the city has reached its lowest per capita homicide rate in recorded history. Khan highlighted that this progress is the result of a deliberate strategy to combat violent crime, despite what he describes as distortions and untruths spread on social media. The Mayor also mentioned the activation of the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol to provide shelter for those sleeping rough during freezing temperatures.
