Khan blocks £50m Met police Palantir deal

Plans for London police to use AI software to enhance crime-solving capabilities have been halted. On Thursday, the mayor halted the agreement, citing Scotland Yard's failure to adhere to correct purchasing procedures. The deal would have been worth an estimated £50m over two years to the controversial American company, although some reports indicated a lower figure.
