Khamenei funeral delayed by 'unprecedented' mourners after US-Israeli strike

Iran announced on Wednesday that the planned state funeral for Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which had been scheduled for that evening in Tehran, was postponed due to an anticipated unprecedented number of mourners. Iranian state television reported that a new date would be announced later. Khamenei was killed in joint US-Israeli strikes over the previous weekend, with Iran declaring 40 days of national mourning.
