Lance Stroll admits Aston Martin are four seconds off pace
Aston Martin has said it expects a difficult beginning to the 2026 Formula 1 season after pre-season testing in Bahrain. Lance Stroll reported the AMR26 was about four seconds slower than the fastest cars, with running time reduced by a Honda engine issue and delays in upgrades. The team now faces reliability and performance questions before the first race. Designer Adrian Newey has joined and a new engine deal is in place.
